The utensil holder is utilitarian art at its purest — both container and stage for your best kitchen tools. The surface decoration is inspired by ceramic vessels from the Volga-Bulgar region in the 8th century. The exterior is left unglazed, then carved freehand and inlaid with white slip, the interior is glazed ruby.
