Something Good Grows Here Mug

This mug is perfect for your latte, tea or brew. The raw clay outside has a repeating ancient runic symbol that translates as “Something good grows here.“ It acts as a prosperity and fertility charm for humans, crops and livestock. It‘s so special that we carved it into our wedding rings to signify love, passion and soul connection.

FAQs about pre-ordering

Why are only certain vessels and glazes available for pre-order?

We make all our pre-orders in batches in order to save materials and make the best use of kiln space whilst firing. This means less waste and more efficient use of energy, so we’re as planet-friendly as we can be!

How long does it take to receive my order?

We’ll throw, poke, glaze and fire your piece at the end of each pre-order period. The whole process takes about 4-8 weeks from start to finish, plus shipping time.

How do I know when my order is ready?

We’ll send you an email notification when your order ships from our Maine workshop.

Our glazes

We finish the interiors of our vessels with a variety of food and microwave-safe glazes. Each item is handmade and kiln fired, which leads to some beautiful variations between batches. The examples below will give you a good idea of what your piece will look like.

Juniper

Forest green with flecks of blue and amber, we named this glaze after our favorite conifer – and gin aromatic.

Lapis

Our newest glaze. A stunning, high-shine ultramarine blue, like its namesake metamorphic rock.
